Re: Abarth Dashboard Colour Screen?!?

Hi, Am I missing something here. I have a 53 plate Abarth with the white dials. At night they go black, no signs of colour. Is there something I can do to make them colour or are they monoatone?

Thanks
Steve:confused:

Re: Abarth Dashboard Colour Screen?!?

It refers to the actual display that displays such information as "Door Open". Older abarths had a colour screen like (DTSN), newer models have a standard orange-backlit dot-matrix display.

Somebody is useful Abarth Color TFT dasboard in an JTD modell ?

I have 2005 1.9 JTD, and i like color TFT on dashboard (CN+ is installed on my Stilo)

Or did they make JTD with color TFT display?

Proxy alignment procedue?

A Proxy Alignment copies the configuration of your car which is stored in the body computer to nodes which have a different configuration (i.e. instrument cluster or climate control node from scrappy...)
After this procedure these parts will have the same configuration/features like the original ones.

ahh, always wondered what it ACTUALLY did...so is this how someone would add cruise control to the car and have it light up on the dash?? or is it a different procedure?

Normal cruise control is not a NODE so doesn't need proxy alignment, however, there is a function in FES just to enable the cruise control light on the dash.

Adaptive (Radar controlled) cruise control is a NODE (NAC).

So FES can set it up to bring the light on the dash when I turn it on with the after market fitted CC stalk

I don't think it was ever put into production. I've never seen it or heard of anyone with it.

It's shown in the eLEARN manual but not in ePER so no idea where you'd get the parts for it.

Nope, its also in cars handbook, but like you say I don't think it was ever put into production.

I've not used it, my car had CC as standard but I read on Yani's forum that it's possible with FES. I think Yani used it on his own Stilo.

Also, exactly what is a NODE? Whats its deffinition so to speak?

NODEs are the different ECUs connected to the CAN system.
