I highly doubt they will bring one out because it's a rather heavy car. Plus, in reality it's a family car...
BUT! I hope they do bring one out, cause i'm having it!
Of course you can mate, you can have anything you want in life.. but...
you either,
1. Get it and get by
2. Get it and regret it
Its the way brav0 said it that had me in tears... and the thought of jumping from 90bhp to maybe near 250bhp sorry mate.. oh this forum is great isnt it
I don't see a sport in which they could take a Bravo Abarth without treding on the toes of Alfa.
WTCC is 159 terratory, and it would be too heavy for rallying.
Without a sport to base it on, it wouldn't be much of an abarth and would dilute the brand given how well the GP/500 is being received in rallying and circuit racing.
Surely a family sized sports fiat would go down well. I know i fancied an Abarth but i need 5 doors.
Fiat also doesnt have anything to compete directly with the likes of focus ST`s, Golf Gti`s etc etc. The Abarth Punto is really good, but its too small to compete.
There's a load of reasons why Fiat are very unlikely to ever release a very hot bravo.
I don't think Fiat want to compete with the ST/GTI - the market is not worth it. They have Alfa and Lancia for larger fast cars, and Abarth for their smaller ones.
A shame really, because i think its what fiat needs IMO, a medium size hot hatch. Alfa's are in a different price bracket, and nothing segment size or engine size to directly compete with the ST's, Type R's, VXR's, GTi's, Renaultsports, etc at least at the moment. The new Alfa Giulietta based on the Bravo (size wise at least, unsure about the chassis?) Cloverleaf isn't out for a long while yet and when it does come out i'd expect it to be quite a bit more expensive than it's volume brand rivals? I could be wrong (hope i am , from the pictures i've seen so far, i want one!), hopefully someone can correct me if i am. On a side note, when is lancia getting re-released over here? Sorry for going slightly off topic.
Thanks
Ian
i think theyve put the re realease into the uk on a hold, because they was thinkign of coming back when the recession had started and then they thought the car was too expensive and a wrong time to come into the uk. i think i read that they are going to scrap the idea of coming back to the uk for good.maby rumours though.
