I have a Fiat Bravo 1.4 T-Jet that consumes a lot of oil. Compression on all four pistons was fine, but I noticed the spark plug on the first piston was wet. Could it be a problem with the piston oil rings or the valve stem seals?

I think the oil rings do not affect compression, or am I wrong?
Nor do they worn out and the other rings stay fit. If compression is fine, the rings are ok. If you want to put new rings on, you can do it, of course. What's the mileage on the car?

Take a look on this topic and do check your oil pressure and check/clean the oil channel inside CH cover. There was overheating in the upper side of your engine that got the valve seals so toasted and something was causing it.

The engine has 168,000 km. It runs perfectly and pulls well, operating quietly. However, as I mentioned, it has high oil consumption and blue smoke. I have installed a new turbo and a complete new PCV valve.

The oil obviously gets burn inside combustion chambers. But with good compression and that mileage, you shouldn't even worry about piston rings, they are OK. Problem is the valve seals 100%, but not only that. As I've mentioned, do an oil pressure reading, the oil pump might not deliver as it should.

Just on the first cylinder spark plug or is that the only one you've checked?!
Probably all the spark plugs look the same and the cause is valve seals, as I've told you in the new topic you've opened.

Only the spark plug of the first cylinder is like this, the others are clean

And the compression on cylinder 1 is ok?
I think we should talk about this in your othe topic, to be al in one place. I'll copy these las messages there, too. Reply there, please.

Oil traces are only on the first cylinder. The other cylinders are clean, and the compression on all four cylinders is fine

Then it means that only the valve seals on the first cylinder are gone. The oil channel up in the CH cover gets oil so that all moving things there get lubricated. The channel's outing for the first cylinder must be clogged, that caused overheating and the seals melted.
Do you have the numbers of compression, for all cylinders?

The engine has 16 valves. I don’t have the exact compression values for each cylinder, but the mechanic told me that all four are the same and in very good condition

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your opinion. I will take the car to the mechanic to have the seals checked.
