I though I would let you all see some recent pics of my much loved 100hp. It is now a proper do anything little car. From surprising big turbo diesels to carrying my bike and kit around.

It looks VERY tall now.
Surprisingly not much more wind noise with all that on top..
And yes, before you mention it I know it needs a wash.

For those interested:
Fiat roof rails
Thule 869 aero bars
Thule 755 footpack
Thule ProRide 591 carrier

And for those interested about the bike; its a Kinesis Maxlight XCPro2 :slayer:with Pace RC31 carbon forks..:worship:

Great, just the info i was looking for. Apart from the bike info, will stick to my Specialized. :)

Thanks
Paul

Nice to see the 100HP getting used for more than blasting down b-roads lol

I think the 100HP would look really kcool with some surf boards on the roof down at the beech!

Thanks for these great pics - I've gone out and bought the exact same set up... except for the 100hp... just a standard Eleganza in baby blue! I thought it needed butching up a bit!

oh and if anyone's interested bike specs are: Merlin Rock Lobster 853, Rock Shox Reba Team XT group with Hope Minis

Good job. It all works well. (apart from a slight creaking I get) It will be interesting to see if you get the same. I took all the roof rails and bars off at the weekend and adjusted/tightened everything up but it still has the issue. Nothing major its just I notice it.

Nice steed by the way, I was thinking about a Merlin/Rock Lobster for a while but decided on the Kinesis in the end, very pleased with it.

Anyone else get this 'creaking' with the roof bars.?

Did you fit the rubber insert for the aero bars? I haven't because of the t-bar system for the bike carrier. I thought it'd be a bit silly having to cut it all up. I'll let you know if I get the creaking!

could always be cheeky and try it on with Thule say you have cut up your rubber strips and now want a full length they do do free replacement parts for a donation for charity (y)

Hi there, I've been using the Thule set up for a few months now, and I was wondering whether anyone's has the same issues as me...

After a particularly windy trip to Manchester (from Bristol) when I was out on the trail I noticed that the cones on the rar axle was loose (on the bike!)
I'm not sure what's caused this, but I've never had that problem before, I was wondering whether it might be the effect of crosswind on the roof carrier... The rear wheel and hence the cones are almost the only place the bike has to flex whilst it's on the roof...

Any ideas?

Nope not noticed this and I have been running the setup for ages now and done hundreds of miles with the bike on top... I doubt, while thinking about it, the cones would not be troubled by being on a bike rack at all..
