i think my car is cursed i got a nock on the door this morning...hi erm.....i have reveresed into your car...soz mate, i am late for work, but i will sort it all out with you later on, any chance u can get a repair quote?

me still semi asleep said sure ok, but i ran outside like a whippet to see the damage i have taken some pics, i will post later, it has completly buggered my bonnet but my front bumper seems fine, i have taken it to a car repair shop today to get a few quotes, best quote so far..wait for it.....



£750 !!!!!!!!!! for a new bonnet and spraying !!!

i am glad i don't have to foot the bill, but i apriciated his honesty because he could have easilly buggered off to work and left me to take the bill. Ahh well, a trip to the body shop, lol

but on the plus side i have asked them to spray some of my centre consolde and a few various other bits and they said yeah sure, there will be loads of paint left over, lol result !

i did something similar to mine, it needed the following:

Bonnet straightening and painting
grill repairing and spraying
bumper repairing and spreying
front cross member straightening and spraying

quotes were from £500 to £1000

I went for the £500 as i was paying but if you arn't paying then go somewhere mroe expensive. I would go to one of those professional repair places (such as rac places) as you will have better come back if anything isn't right or goes wrong.

lol Alan spot on !! it was a 4X4 but it wasent a tow bar believe it or not, lol it was his spare wheel he has on the back, it has a mettal frame to secure it, and it was that that crippled my little bravo

ps. my car hassent got celulite !! it is the clouds reflecting off the bonnet i speant 35 min polishing on sunday, looking back i was kinda tempting fate a little when i said "my bonnet has never looked more sexy and shiney" last time i pay my car a compliment, lol

depending on his ins company and how "flexible" they are i will nip to a "friendly" bodyshop and claim for the front headlights, lol get some sexy marera ones and claim for whiplash !! even though i was snug in bed dreaming of bravo with a naked tara para tomkinson sat in the back seat i reckon i could make this situation turn out ok

I wouldn't go OTT with it else you'll end up with nothing. He's been good enough to tell you so you should atleast be honest with him. Go to a good, mainstream repair place so you have come back if the paint bubbles or anything!

As it's going to be an insurance jobbie, you'll have to go to the company that your insurance company uses.
Phone them up and ask them for the approved paintshops in your area. Take the car to them and see which one looks the most professional.
Also go to your local Fiat dealers and ask them who they use.

My local Fiat dealer is Jordens, and they have a massive site, i mean it must be at least 4 achres of land, they have a mazda dealership, a peugeot dealership, a second hand sales department, a caravan department and a accident repar centra all on site all owned by jordens, which is why my dealership is a nightmare, i hate them, you have to go all over the place just to get a stright answer all the time, they are a joke.

i have already been around all the spray shops in hull so as soon as rthe ins company tell me which one to go to i already have a quote from them, lol i am just hopeing it is one of 2 that said they would spray the other bits for free, lol the rest were iffy and said they would charge me £80, lol so sod that

i will find out today anyway, i will keep u all updated

If they repair it at any of those, even so it will be the assessor from the insurance company that decides what does/not get done. When mine got hit they took it to their own repair centre about 40/50 miles away and only repaired the exact damage done by the other driver and weren't even allowed to quote for any extras if I was to pay them

what a result !!!

spoke to my neighbour last night and he was brilliant about it all, he rang his ins company and cleared it all with them and gave me a number to ring and arrange for it to be repaired.

just called norwich union and they said we have 2 bodyshops in your area, both i had gotten quotes for but niether had agreed to do the interior dash for free

i was offered a courisy car, i explained that i wouldent need the courtisy car IF i was going to my local bodyshop near where i work which just so happens to be the one that said they will spray my interior for free she said they could arrange that if i went and got some quotes (which i already have) then contact norwich union with the address and contact details of the bodyshop and norwich union will take care of everything.


what a result !!! i get a new bonnet which i was going to have sprayed anyway because of the chips near the front, i get my interior sprayed and ohh just the iceing on the cake........a free valet, lol

i am quite happy to say the least. seems my luck is changeing

E.J. Had his HLX almost written off last weekend, and the bastid ****** wasnt even insured nor did he have a license.

shouldent u report him anyway. i mean if he has no insurance and doesent have a licence i still think your car gets fixed without you makeing a claim on your onw ins, am i right in thinking that there is a money pot somewere for these things ?

if u allow him to pay for it, and not get him banned for driving without ins and a licence and possably fined then i would expect a nice tasty backhander as well, lol something to cover a mod or 2

hmn an orange bravo...i watch for other bravos like a hawk on the roads so no doubt i will have seen it. where in hull are you ? i live near hull citys old ground boothferry park (west hull)

have u done anything to your car ? any mods etc ? to make it stand out a little, i have seen about 5 orange bravos i think or thereabouts.

lol I have done no mods. I have only ever seen 1 other orange bravo and it is also a T reg like mine. It will probable be me that you see all the time. I live in hessle so about 5-10 mins dows boothferry road. I work in East Hull and go to Lincoln uni (hull campus) at george street. it is a 100 SX T reg orange bravo. I dont tend to go down boothferry road that much because the a63 is more conveniant for me.

I have been wanting to see another Hull bravo owner on here for a while.

I travel back from work through the city center and doown lowgate I see loads of bravos around there you might be one of them
