I would say it's just water on the sensor blocking the wave pattern it sends out, next time if you give the sensors a wipe with your finger to remove the water and try, if it still false alarms then it could be a sensor fault if not it's just the water

:yeahthat: The sensor has probably (partially) filled with water in the rain and is "seeing" reflections from that water.

(For context, the sensors send out ultrasonic waves and listen for reflections. By timing how long the reflections take to come back it can tell how far away an obstacle is. In this case it's seeing the returns instantly and going "oh, there's something really close").
