Hello all,
I have an odd issue that I can't get to the bottom of. We have a 2010 lounge and had the power steering motor changed about 4 years ago due to intermittent loss of assistance. Ever since the new motor was fitted the assistance is great when stationary but as soon as you get above about 5 mph the assistance drops off to almost zero, coming back on when you slow down. I understand it is speed sensitive so must take an input from somewhere. No other faults show such as abs so I'm not sure where the spped signal comes from.
The steering position sensor has been reset but to no avail.Any ideas?

Thanks Glen

The steering is lighter in city mode, which it's driven in most of the time, and there is a difference between modes, but still has the noticeable sudden difference at 5mph.It was fitted by a company in Hastings. SAE services, usually very good. I don't know if it was recalibrated.
We only really noticed the difference when we got a 500c Abarth Essesse which has lovely steering, and power!

We still have this issue, and I drove the car yesterday for the first time in a long time. It is really noticeable. How can I recalibrate it. What software would be needed?
Cheers
