Check oil, if milky coffee coloured rather than golden, that could give a clue. But not in dark and current weather.

Depends how bad it was. As Al says, look at the underside of the oil filler cap.

Well it’s outside my front door so just checked and I’m thinking milky coffee ****!!

Mine had a water leak when I got it. Fixed by Fiat after they missed it when the water pump was replaced at its major service. Only small amounts of red residue at the oil filter. Fault they fixed by refitting a displaced core plug..

Good that it's sorted..

Just keep an eye on it for a few days/until you're convinced it's not going to just randomly drop any more.

But then surprise the beast after a few more days, in case it worked out that you're not checking up on it any more..
