If it’s a pipe that has nothing underneath then it might not be hitting anything, top it up, run the engine up to temperature then get underneath. With a warm pressurised system that’s losing fluid that quickly you must be able to trace it with the engine running.

Okidoki I’ll give it a go thank you [emoji120][emoji3]

Note I changed the rad link as I found a cheaper one!

I use the washer bottle level indicator pipe from my Mazda to read the level as it can be hard to read, essentially a straight thin tube, place in, finger over end, compare on the outside and the water in the pipe shows the true level?

Pink residue if coolant is still pink. Likely it's been watered down by now as you've had to keep topping it up.

As mentioned get engine to temp, maybe even leave it running (use caution here for turning parts). A torch is a must and be safe when you stick your head under there.

Car up to temp been under no obvious leaks ??!! You would think I’d be seeing pink residue

Has there been ANY evidence of leaks under the car? you could place a large piece of cardboard underneath to see.

The carpets are not wet are they?

Use a bright torch and look at the thermostat housing for any leaks, if you have help get them to rev the engine at the same time as looking.

Well I’m wet through anyway so yeah I’ll get engine going again and nip under again last shot though haha

Hi John, by the photo leak seems to be on cambelt side of the engine it would seem. Leaks are buggers to spot sometimes, I don't evny her today.

Could well be John. She mentioned it loses quite a lot of coolant & quickly - and this seems to have started quite suddenly. My bet is a cracked radiator or split rubber pipe but i'm just speculating!

As mentioned already by someone else that metal pipe behind the exhaust manifold can rust through - possibly finding it's way to where the water is collecting also.

That's bad, you've had your (un) fair share of leaks it's fair to say my friend.

Still, even with their faults we do love our 500's :D

Well given it a good shot today up on ramps I’ve checked everywhere where ever the leak is I cannot get to it so off to garage to book it in I’ll kick myself if it’s something I could have fixed but I’ll let you know what it turns out to be!

IMG_2345.JPG just got back from my mums (17) miles back down to min and looks like liquid under bottom trim! Who knows with all the rain anyhow booked into garage tomorrow

If you get the garage to fix it and they say it need a new rad when they quote £100 say for the part it's only just over £30?

Good one thanks John I will!! I’m super confused did another trip to my mums I filled up again before I left got to mums and the level not moved ..... then trip to Morley I’ve done about 30 miles just checked level .... not moved!? It’s still just below max .... have you ever hear of this?? Still going tomorrow to have it checked but I’m foxed [emoji23]
