General 4x4 rebuild underway!

Yeh, most car are body up rather than engine up, but because it's a hair dryer there was not any fouling!
The propshaft flange did come very close to jamming on the bulkhead tho.
However;
I'm certain that with everything still in the engine bay you would HAVE to drop the engine. The prop flange would never get past the fuel/brake lines or the heater unit.

looking good mate, i have just done same to my cinquecento looks great and now i have seen your pics im going to have to do the panda too thanks mate:p

No going back now!

Hi all!!

The day is finally upon me!
Off to Surface Processing tomorrow (y)

How cool is this?! A Panda goes in the back of a long wheel base Sprinter!!

Wish me luck and I'll be posting more piccies of refirb and new parts over the next 3/4 weeks until the shell is back all bare and shiny.

Nick :slayer:

p.s. Can everyone search for a bull bar for me (condition unimportant as blasting and powercoating is nearby)

I'm well impressed with that work. Those parts look stunning- probably better than new! Well done!

Brake system underway

Started with new cylinders on the rear plates. New Calipers have been ordered and here's the finished drums caliper holders and Master cylinder assembly. :)

Thanks for the comment about the Concours! but I don't even know if they'll allow a non original Panda??

Nick

Well not sure how the concours thing works exactly, all I know is all the concours motors I've seen are well smart and yours is going to be the same judging by work done so far (y)

 looks like just a small hole by the drivers side windscreen air vent, the bottom edge of drivers footwell/inner arch and maybe the drivers side boot seam to plug. It does appear to be a very straight shell (y)
