General 3rd Gear problems

my car stopped going into third gear, it happened after i had to force it into 1st and 2nd gear after clutch cable loosened off. I have been told gear box is broke. When i put it in third it rattles gear leaver as if its not been put in gear properly. If I put it into 3rd and pull gear leaver to the right the car bites and moves, then when clutch brought up full it slips out again. could anyone help with this problem? I have a 2000 seicento sporting.

Needs a box or a rebuild. Box would be cheaper, there are plenty of Centos in yards following the scrappage scheme.

Iv been through 2 seicentos with 3rd gear problems... PM for a gbox...
