Hi guys,
Just wondering if you can give me some advice, I thinking of getting another car, not that theres anything wrong with mine mind...
I'm just one of those people that gets bored very quickly with cars..and fancy a change.
I have a 3dr Abarth selespeed,
Registered September 2002 (52 plate),
Jet Blue Metallic,
Tan Leather interior,
Air-Con,
17 inch Alloys,
SatNav Connect+ (upgraded to firmware ver. 9.8),
5 Disc Multichanger,
21,000 miles,
Still got 12 months left on Warranty and AA Breakdown cover.
Just had 24,000 service in september,
Full fiat service history..
I am the second owner from new.

Its in absolutely mint condition, Re-badged with Abarth logo's on Front grill, wheels, and new alternative badge on boot.
My satnav disc is the 2004/2005 edition and I also have about 10 Extra discs for the SatNav which cover just about the whole of the rest of europe.
Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal etc...
The Tyres on the car are all pretty decent anyway but I have 2 Brand new Michelin Pilot Sports (215x45x17) that I bought as spares these will go with the car..
Anyway I am wondering if anyone could give me a guide price, I paid £9800 from a Fiat main dealer for it in march, but obviously it will have come down a little since then..

Or if anyone on here is interested give me an email and i'll give you some details - [email protected]

Thanks for your time guys.....

Dean.............................

stick it on Ebay or in the Autotrader.

These cars are so hard to sell it's unbelievable. A guy I know is selling his 04 JTD with 4k on the clock as new condition, he's been advertising for weeks at £9k and he's had no enquiries. I tried to sell mine a few months ago, no luck.
The dealership offered me £4600 in part exchange, unless you are willing to take a big losss I'd suggest you keep it!

I have been offered 6 and half as a trade in against a £22000 RX8, just thought it would be worth a bit more than that, £3000 loss in 6 months not good is it...

My opinion on Fiat losing value is.......

1. Find the exact make and model you want.

2. Get the best poss deal

3. Run it into the ground till you have to scrap it for parts!!

4. Return to step 1 ;)

Good plan mate ;)

On a similar note though, the Punto HGT seems to hold its value ok, being so rare.

Yeah, sort of. Like for example the Punto Mk1 GT, If you can find a decent one in good nick, people are willing to pay up to 4k+ :) Just the way it goes with Fiats.

Thats the case...

with anything a bit rare, a good example will literally command whatever someone is willing to pay. Meanwhile, a mint, but lowly model Mk1 is worth only a few hundred :)

A better way of avoiding the hit is to buy cheap. I got my 51 plate 1.6 Dynamic with skywindow and 17" alloys with only 9000 miles for £4000

Thats not going to loose to much value in the 2 years I'm planning to keep it.

Thanks for all the advice guys,
however the car has now gone.
Traded it in for a Jaguar X-Type sport.
Got £9000 for it against a 3 month old Pre registered 2.0 Diesel Turbo Sport.
mind you the car was £21000.
Beautiful car though and 60 to the gallon as well.....nice.

I must say what a difference in dealerships from Fiat to Jaguar.
I was treat like a king there, nothing was too much trouble.
none of your grease monkeys without a clue.
Fiat could learn a lot from this..

well its been fun but, time to look for a Jaguar forum now...
Bye guys and gals.....

Don't slag off ALL Fiat dealers - it all depends on the company running behind the franchise!

I can't rate Motorvogue in Northampton highly enough, especially their service department. They are a joint FIAT/Alfa dealer as well, their grease monkeys do tend to know their stuff.

Have fun with your Mondeo ;)

(y) Well said Stuart ! I have had a Merc SLK and the dealer was crap, loan car was an "A" class!! they charged £550 for a service, then it had to go back for oil top up!!!! They only treat you like a "king" before you buy!!! ;)
