Yes, but would look better lowered 50mm. I've gone from 35mm to 50mm, without noticing much difference in the ride, but the car sits a lot nicer at 50mm.

35mm is supposedly meant to be better for handling though.

50mm is the perfect drop use 50mm drop springs on standard shocks and will be fine 35mm not noticable that much ul think uv wasted your money and will want to go lower as puntos are pretty high to start with.

Handles bettter, no body roll and looks 1000000000x times better low to the ground. Still has a comfy ride and i live and drive through areas with loads of speed bumps and potholes (Leeds & Bradford) and tbh iv had a full car 3 in back 2 in front and its fine tyres dont rub or owt. I can still park on paths and drive of paths fine.

I used these they are very very good springs and very good for price aswel give you perfect low dropp and comfy ride.

sorry about the bad quality it has also settled more at the front now and is lower again

In your sig says your gonna lower it 50mm so obviously even you must think that 35mm isnt enough for the punto:)(y)

Measure from the font and back sill to the ground. With 2 jacks take off both wheels and set the jacks so the car is 35mm closer to the ground. Now put the wheels against the hubs and take a photo. Repeat with it 50mm lower.

OK, it will have to be a simple side on view, but you'll have an idea of the lowered looks.

shocks will be dead in the matter of weeks if you use 50mm drop springs on standard shocks.

50mm springs require shortend shocks ,

I had mine on since xmas and they been fine just passed mot aswel and im sure they check shocks on that.

So how many miles have you done in 2 months?

I duno mate, probly 1.5k-2k but not too sure at all i know my miles are 2k higher but cant remember from wen cos i got it with 78k and in the 6 months didnt have a liecence i only drove it a bit and got it to 80k and il check the milage tomoro for you and let you know

To be fair a lot of people on here and elsewhere will have lowered 50mm, and I don't see a whole load of "OMG I need new shocks" threads popping up after a few weeks. Fair enough they should be changed to do it "properly" and it will shorten the life of them, but not to those extremes if they are in reasonable condition in the first place.

when i was lowering my car , every site recommended you replace standard shocks if your dropping 50mm with shortened ones

Yh checked tofay am on 81k bought with 78k only drove about maybe 1k before i had liecence cos i didnt want to get caught... so iv done about 2 - 2.5k miles since xmas when i got lowering springs

So 2-2.5k in 2 months on starderd shocks and no problems(y)

Everyone oin this froum sed replace the shocks even the mechanic i asked said to but i didnt lol i have a 8 year old punto and i dont know if the shocks ever been replaced no idea but i dont think so it had 2 lady owners so probly not.

SO its obviously fine with standard shocks, but anything over 50mm i think you wont be able to seat them correctly on the shocks because mine 50mm just fitter in the correct position against the lip on the shocks and was a bit loose even when fully tightened nut, (i could move the coil spring with medium pressure with my hand with nut fully tightened which doesnt happen on standard coils) but when the car drops on the springs they fit flush if you go over 50mm the coils with just spin round the shocks and be difficult to get seated corectly.

yep you don't need shorter shocks, mine is dropped 50mm on standards. And so was the guy i bought them off. So the shocks have been lowered 50mm for about 6 mths, and no problems whatsoever. apart from scrapage with a full car

I have a 60mm drop, no longer have the 17 inch rims but the car sits well low to the ground :D pics taken on a crooked surface....
