it seems if you say anything negative about fiats on here people are only too keen to jump down your throat

i aint a dick, i know how to treat new brakes, and brakes in general. I don't need lessons nor tips on how to "bed" them in as i know... from experience and from everyone keep saying it.

why the attitude? they guys only trying to figure out the problem for you!! i'm sure he wasn't being patronising!! chill!!:p

few good points there but remember guys (and girls:)) people are trying to help, after all where would we be if this forum wasn't here...............ok porn yeah I know but you know what i'm trying to say lets show a little more respect for each another & not get 'too' grumpy;)

hhhmmm, I'm up to 55,000 miles at the moment, and am still on my original brakes, at the last service (54k) the mechanic said the rears were "as new" and the front pads would do another 3,000 miles , and the discs would be fine for another set of pads......

so I'm looking at one change of front pads only in 110-120,000 miles.....

just my experiance.... (y)

:yeahthat: I agree totally (y) 34000 on my clock in 18 months and are my front brake pads barely a third worn, I dont drive like Miss Daisy either, just use good road sense, anticipaton and engine braking where possible, but I dont use the change down method.
