Quick question!
Does anybody know if 205/50/17 tyres will fit a Grande Sporting without causing any issues (other than affecting the speedo a bit) or rubbing?
Cheers in advance (y)

50 profile tyres will increase the tyre sidewall by 5% of the width so 5%*205=10mm. I dought that would be enough to cause problems since people seem to get away with lowering their cars by 35mm but thats just speculation.

I'm not sure you will find anybody who has actually fitted that size, most seem to go for 40 profile if changing. Are you trying to improve the ride?

No the rides fine, I’m trying to think of ways to get a little extra clearance in the winter months. I thought an easy option to get a little bit extra would be by fitting 50 profile winter tyres through the winter months, and then switch back to 45s for summer. I’ve already got a spare set of alloys which I use for winter but was going to be sticking some new rubber on them this year.

In that case you might be able to go narrower to improve clearance on full lock. Narrow tyres are better in snow anyway I think.

Should be fine, my winter wheels have 215/55/16 on them and I was running those with Eibach pro's (claimed 30mm lower) with no issues what-so-ever or 4-5months.
