Hi
My daughter has a 2022 1.0 hybrid Fiat 500, can anyone clarify if this has to be serviced at a main dealer, Id prefer to use a specialists which seem to be in short supply in North Kent.
I ask this for two reasons;
1, Local Fiat dealer has told me that it needs to be serviced by them for first 3 years or warranty is void. I understood due to block exemption cars can be service by any trained professional providing OEM parts are used? I am sure they are trying to pull a fast one here? however;
2, I have also heard that due to the newer models having the Security gateway module/firewall fitted only dealers can access the ECU to reset any service lights. Apparently a bypass lead can't be used either.
The car is a September 2022 and has covered 2800 miles.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.
Regards
RL
