Hello All and thanks in advance for any advice.

I have a the above van and get the following problem.

Van drives absolutely fine until up to temperature. As soon as it hits about 85/90° the EML comes on with a P2146 fault then a couple of miles later it will start to misfire and eventually lose all power then cut out.

I then have to sit for 15/20 minutes till it cools down then it will start and drive fine until up to temp again.

I get the P2146 code on a basic phone app using a Bluetooth ODB2 sender so don't know how accurate it is.

First time it happened I pulled into a garage near where I was and they used a Snap On code reader (which I assume would be more accurate)and told me it was particular filter fault code so I took it to a local dpf specialist who informed me it was a faulty Lambda sensor which I have since replaced with a brand new genuine one and fault remains.

I'm lost with what to do and all garages local to me in Durham/North East can't seem to look at it for at least two weeks.

Anybody had the same issue and can shine any light on it for me?

Crank sensor fits your problem exactly and is a very common problem, cheap to buy easy to fit yourself.

Have had a Fiat van and a Fiat car both had new crank sensors fitted after the same problem you are having.
