Good afternoon everyone,
We are having an issue with our 2016 Fiat 500. My wife was driving home from work and the check engine light came on. She didn't notice anything major except a loss of power. I drove the car afterwards and there is definitely a lack of response from the throttle. You can get up to highway speed but it is slow getting there. There is no missing, rough sounds, or anything else out of the ordinary.
We took the car to the dealer and they said that the timing belt jumped a tooth. Does this sounds like a logical possibility? I have had engines where the timing has gone off and you can usually get a misfire or rough idling. Anyone had this same experience??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
