Hi there all, this is my first ever post on FF.
I've used FF for years as a guest and it's proved so useful on many occasions.
As a result and just wanted to submit a link to an album of photos of my recent Fiorino 1.3 engine rebuild with the hope that it might help anyone else out there (or just be of interest).
In an ideal world, I'd like to find time to explain the things I found along the way, but that isn't going to be the case right now.
In short, the project started just because I needed to replace the stem seals and rebuild the cylinder head. But wear and issues elsewhere meant it grew into a full rebuild. (the timing chain had been changed because it had obviously been flapping around inside the cover, causing wear here, and i suspect this debris caused the shell bearing to suffer too.
Anyhow, I hope the link to the photos below prove useful to anyone who is tackling something on their engine. I find that half the battle is knowing what you're up against before you get stuck in.
As I write, the engine isn't actually complete (someone prior to my ownership had fitted a sump and stripped threads in the ladder frame and I only noticed this when coming to refit the sump last night... grrr. So I'm helicoiling this tonight hopefully.
So I'll keep adding photos to the album. There are currently more than 400 photos.
I know it would be better to have more albums with fewer photos in each, but this is all I'm willing to do right now.
The photos are in chronological order and were taken mainly to help me remember what went where! So photos start with recording what's there, strip, clean, inspect, rebuild and document again for my peace of mind.
Obviously feel free to download photos and use for whatever... I'm sure my OneDrive will let you do this. Also, when you view on OneDrive, it can take a few moments for the full resolution of the image to come through.
Link to album: ***it wouldn't let me submit the full url as I have fewer than 5 posts. You'll have to cut and paste the two pieces below. Other users feel free to submit url as a full link...***

I might pop back in due course and answer any questions if necessary
Regards
Alf
