Technical 2013 500L rear windows not working

Hi my son has a 2013 lounge where his rear windows both sides won't work off rear switches. they work from the front switch and he has swapped rear switches with a good pair to test whether it was switch related. He says its not lighting up anymore either at night on both sides switches. Anyone else experienced this problem? thanks

Often the rear window switches can be turned off by the driver to prevent children in rear being injured by windows .

Have a look in the owners handbook

It's on the drivers widow switch panel between the two front window switches
And the rear two window switches.
The image on the switch is of a window crossed out-to indicate switches in rear doors turned off.
