General 2013 1.2 pop towbar advise

For a simple trailer like the Erde 122 you will only need 7 pin wiring as you are only running a simple lighting board.

You can of course fit a 7 pin dedicated kit or a simple 7 way bypass relay.

Neither option is that hard to fit, but the power for the relay in either solution has to be routed from the front (preferably the battery) and ran through the car to the rear as there is no provision of power in the rear like most cars these days have.

If you plan on DIYing, a dedicated kit can cut some agro out of the job if you aren't keen on splicing into the wiring loom, though there are plenty of guides and help on the interweb if you want a go yourself fitting a 7 way bypass, it's not that hard.

if you plan on having it fitted by a specialist, I'd go for the 7 way bypass relay every time, it's far cheaper and they fit it anyway.
(don't like it buzzing with the lighting board plugged in, fit an LED lighting board, it won't pull enough power to activate the buzzer)

In regards to which towbar, that all depends on what you plan on doing with it (I know, just pull a trailer, but others might read this).

Towbars come in different designs, there are generally two types, Swan necks and Flange, both can be had in either fixed or detectable flavours.

Swans do pretty much one job, tow.
Flange bars can have accessories attached to the flange, like bike racks.

Detachables leave the back of the car clean, fixed obviously stick out all the time and you can bash you shins on them went in the boot, not good if it's slick with grease.

You can look at all the options here

If you're after one fitted, try a mobile fitter, your local dealers or used car sales will know all the mobile fitters in the area.

If you fancy ago yourself, look at the fitting instructions on the site above.
All the bars for the Panda replace the crash bar behind the bumper, with the fixing arms slid into the chassis rails. Once you remove the bumper, it's all basic spannering.
