Success update....
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
Solved!
I have discovered the issue with help.
My brother was visiting so I had a 2nd pair of eyes. He is a mechanical engineer.
whilst I was in the cab turning over the engine, he was viewing the engine bay.
He spotted some hoses in the engine bay were collapsing to flat.
...you needed a second person as the hoses would return to normal after the
engine snuffed.
One person could not see it visually whilst starting the van. 2 people needed.
The hoses, 2m from the turbo to the intercooler then to the inlet manifold.
Collapsing, they would surely choke the engine.
It was pretty obvious to the trained or untrained eye.
I disconnected the hose from the airbox to the turbo.
I expected it to be filled with water.....or the turbo?
Before....I only checked by putting a flexible hose down the pipe with airbox removed and felt no blockage.
I did check the airbox and airfilter for rat/mice damage. None. Nada. Zilch.
Anyways, there was leaves and sticks at the bottom of the turbo intake hose.
It looks like a critter has tried to nest within my turbo hosepipe...when I had
the airbox out!
I did not take it fully off before as it had a funny clamp.(replaced clamp now)
So cleared out the nest out of the pipe!!!
Lucky something didn't slither out! lol
Thanks for all the suggestions.
Also...Engine starts and runs first go now.
I put
MES on and checked values.
The Key Lock Solenoid error still exists in the Auto ECU. (Might be factory setting?)
Water in Fuel code still present in
MES also.(maybe sensor gone?)
Checking running values in
MES now.
Once again...Thank you all.
On a +ve note....I think this zeroed me in on that water leak. I won't be suffering that problem everytime it rains now. It should make my van very reliable! ...touch wood!
