Hi Guys, I wonder if anyone have experienced problem similar to this. My demister stopped to work at once. As it was in summer time I didn't pay much attention but now it's winter and I need it. Anyway, went to fiat for check-up-they said demister fan's blown and they'll be more then happy to replace it for £475 + labour. I thought for that money I'll be able to buy half of that car pretty soon so passed on it. Few weeks later fan started to operate and was working fine while driving till I stopped. To make a story shorter - demister works when it wants to work and basically on and after few sunny and dry days. I assume there might be some shortcut maybe, or it's one of the under-the-hood switches but where to look for it and how to stop dealer experiments of let's change this alike:slayer:What do you think please?

Both Guys thank you for your interest. Argonouth, I'm new to this site so wasn't familiar where and how to look for "what might've went wrong". As I said fan's working occasionally so it might be a/c gas pressure problem and pollen filter clogged. For last three years I own my stilo it has never been replaced so it;s worth to look at. Thanks to Argonouth I tried search engine again and found few links, now i get more and more info. Cheers Guys

Bad news. I have followed advices about pollen filter and a/c being recharged. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with a demister not operating. I've checked all connections, switches and from now on it looks I must relay on a dealer replacing fan. Pity.
