2001 scudo jtd 110bhp ,
hi folks, righty , van was running fine (apart from needing an injector seal sorted ) but all of a sudden the ecu light came on and it dropped in power. its showing P0230 ( fule pump circuit malfunction) and the other P00CC which i dont know what that is (cheap ebay code reader). the car did this and cleared with the code reader and was fine for 30 miles then the ecu light came back on and power dropped to what i assume to be limp mode. i understand the leaky injector seal is an issue and that was due to be addressed anyway, but now this has happened. one symptom is the van runs on for 2 secs quite lumpy though, after the key is removed. also, the 3 solenoids at the front of the engine that are together (right infront of you when you open the bonnet) one makes a buzzing whining noise that fades after the engine stops. can you tell me what those 3 solenoids are for and if any are likely to be assosciated with the problem. the van got me home (just) but cut out 8 times and if you let the reves drop suddenly even when in gear the engine would die, stop turn it off and restart and it would go again... it slowly got worse and eventually if i didnt keep it revving slightly when coasting (foot in the clutch) it would konk out. i have replaced the double relay and have same symptoms , tonight i removed all fuses and other relays and checked the connections, removed the injector connections and checked them and also the ones for the 3 solenoids at the front of the engine. when i did this the error codes cleared and the van idled for a few minutes then it came back and cut out again and the ecu light came on again.
any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
