Hello all
I'm not very good in English so I'll try to describe my problem as best as I can. Also my knowledge about cars are mostly theoretical ( for example I know what is cambelt and what does it do but I do not know how to change it )

So my 2001 Bravo 1.9 jtd (74kw) started to have slightly higher idle before 2-3 days, approxmatly form 700 rpm to 900 rpm. Today rpm started to fluctuate from 2000 rpm to 900 rpm. It is like it goes to 1800 rpm, stay there for few sec then comes beck to 900 and stay there a little bit longer. Then it stays for a while on 900 and this fluctuations starts again. Injector warning light comes on when that starts but it does not come off. It does come off when I turn off my car and leave it for a while and start it again. then rpm is on 900 and it stays there for a while but fluctuations starts and injector light comes on.
Is it bad for the engine to drive like that. I'm short with money right now.

BTW I forgot to tell you that it seems there is no loss in engine power.
Also sometimes light which indicates water in the fuel filter flashes. this thing with RPM and injector light happened in 6 am when was 1-2 degrees celsius degrees below zero. Maybe water in fuel filter freezed and that was cause of the problem

I hope you will understand.
I will be thankful for any help or advice .

If you see the filter water light coming on, you should drain the filter anyway. You will have to disconnect the heater and temp sensor wire from the filter body, and also the fuel inlet pipe with the quick connect fitting (If there is one). then disconnect the wire to the water sensor. Then remove the bolts for the filter housing, and lift it up, then you will get to unscrew the sensor and drain the water. You can use a pattern (non original) filter, but the thread (hole) for the sensor would probably be wrong, it needs to be M10 on the bottom of the filter. for the small extra expense, it is worth getting an original one.

As for the idle problem, if the injector light came on there will be codes stored in the ECU, so try and get a diagnostic done. you don't need a fiat dealer, any good garage with diagnostics should be able to read the codes for you. Its difficult to tell, but your description of the problem sounds like incorrect fuel pressure regulation. If you can, look at the rail pressure requested and actual values on live data, it should be steady at idle. This could be caused by the pressure regulator on the high pressure fuel pump, bad pressure sensor etc. the diagnostic will tell all..

Car stayed in the garage for the night and today there was no injector warning light. Idle problem is not present anymore but sometimes while I'm driving and press the clutch RPM don't come down normally but very slowly and when I stop they stay at 1200 RPM for the moment and then drop to 800-900 RPM.

Problem solved!:D
It was a throttle pedal, not the electronics but mechanical problem. Something came loose and small lever which is connected to the some kind of electronic throttle didn't always returned to the position when the throttle is off or Idling.
They tighten what came loose and everything is back to normal.

must have been the anti-shudder throttle ?. a throttle plate linked to a small vacuum valve. this only closes when you switch off the engine, to stop it shuddering, but would cause a bit of a problem if it was just flapping about. good to hear you got it sorted :)
