hey there, just a couple of niggling questions...

noticed on my brava under the accelerator pedal there is a bolt which you can adjust. this makes the pedal go down further or not go down as much.
does anyone know what this is for and why not just screw the bolt in so the pedal almost reaches the floor?

another thing is how do you adjust the front windscreen washers?

(my brava is a mark2)

cheers!

aah so you've found the secret screw on the accelerator pedal.

if you adjust the screw so the pedla can touch the floor (as i have) you may find that you snap the accelerator cable if you stamp on the pedal. obviously if the pedal can travel further then the cable is getting pulled further. the butterfly valve in the throttle body can only open so far, trying to open it further will put strain on the cable.

so what should you do? well i have adjusted the cable at the throttle body and the screw on the pedal so that the butterfly valve is fully open at exactly the same point when the pedal hits the floor.

the difference this made to performance is amazing. it was like the car had been remapped.

Each of the screen washers has a small screw on the side that you can turn to adjust the spray angle. Need a very small flat head screwdriver though.

i did just that last night (me assuming i knew what i was doing!)
and from what you've stated i think ive got the balance spot on :p

your right the performance is fantastic. managed 0-60mph of roughly 8.5 seconds compared to the "statistical" 9.2!

anyone know how to adjust the windscreen washers? mine seem to adjust themselves? and one is slightly blocked...
