Hi Punto8787. I'm a newbie ... check out my intro in the newbie forum. We've just come to the Bravo/Blue & Me from years with Ford Focus's. We've never had any probs with phone pairing on a variety of different cars prior to the Bravo .... and we have paired our phones (iPhone and B'berry) to Blue & Me absolutely fine. What I don't understand (nor see in any of the books etc) is how to switch from one phone to the other. ie. We both get in the car with bluetooth enabled. The BB was the first paired and it pairs to me fine. On previous btooth systems we've been able to select which one is 'active' but I don't seem to be able to do that with B & M. I fully understand that only one phone can be 'active' at any one time but what if 5 people were in the car and all had paired their phones. Would they all have to turn off bluetooth so only the one left on would be the active one? Come on peeps, please tell me what I'm missing!! Is it to do with what was said in an earlier post about the first one paired can make and rx calls and others only rx? Is that it?

Hello GrandGuy, We also have both our phones paired. What we want to know is how to switch from one being the 'active' phone to the other one being the 'active' phone.

Delete all and re"pair" the on that was paired first is the active phone/has priority

OK, tks for that. I thought we tried this yesterday ... both phones successfully paired .... mine first. I turn my phones bluetooth off and wait until the phone shows connectivity lost. Her's has had bluetooth on all the time. I then call her when she is in the car, ignition on, phone paired and bluetooth turned on and it just rings through to her phone and not the car Blue & me system.
We're missing something here ... anybody know what?

OK, tks for that. On the Ford we had to select it (Phone>Menu>required phone>Radio) on the Ford BT system which was no problem. On the Fiat it seems that I have to turn my BT off and my wife then has to turn hers on and pair? That's new technology marching steadily backwards in my book but if thats how it is so be it. Tks for your help.

OK, we're getting somewhere. I turned the bt on my phone off while indoors. I took wifeys phone out to the car and turned on the ignition. 2 mins later it connected. On the Ford it was 5 secs max. We perhaps hadn't been waiting long enough is one of the problems we had. So, the car is turned off and indoors we go. I turn on my bt (I'm used to leaving it on all the time ... as is my wife on her i-Toy), go to the car while her phone is in range, turn on the ignition and it will pair to hers. She then has to turn off her bt and then it will pair to mine. Deffo a bit of a faff. Unless anybody out there knows better. Tks for your help so far.

Find that mine (Iphone 4) connects all the time, but if I turn the car on and then bluetooth on the phone it doesnt always connect straight away/can take a few mins.
What I would suggest is turn the bluetooth on whatever phone you want connected and then 5 seconds later start the engine. My phone normally connects "instantly" afterwards, like a few seconds. I used to have issues with my older phone Nokia 5800 in which I would have to manually force it to connect to the blue& me
