General 2 lt 20v

what the general opinion of the 20valve 2lt engine ?
already thinking about changing cars but still want another marea
just because they look really mean and moody from the front and with decent rims and lowered awesome !
the 16valve 1.6 seems poky enough so far but as we are thinking of getting a caravan this year maybe i need something with a bigger engine to pull it . I cant be arsed with mondeo estates vectras are ok but ten a penny on the roads.
So how do they stand against other 2 lt estates and if they are any good then what is the best spec level to go for ?

Awesome engine. All 3 variants are pretty solid, performance puts the 20V Mareas closer to the V6 models of the Mondeo and Vectra.

Timing belts are a bitch though. So if your getting one try get one with the belts done already.

Pull a horse box with mine. Gearing/and power superb ratio for towing.Mines an Elx but Hlx has Air con and headlight washers front foglights and in some leather seats.
