I'm going to give it a good clean and check over tomorrow but I had to have a play with the 4WD in our field first :D
Looks amazing and is my favourite colour Sisley (at the moment) by far (y)
I think Vernon's got one of the originals in that colour? Beautiful car!

Thanks:D I'm really pleased with how its turned out, can't wait to get it all back together and get it to some shows, shame I've missed them all this year, still, more time to get it spot on!

Yes, Vernon has one that is identical, I quite like the blue and green ones, my least favourite is the burgandy, although they seem to be the most common.

Yes ofcourse you can't rush perfection! I am looking forward to seeing her done and maybe park along side at a show in my (boring) burgundy one when that gets done :D

Panels now painted, insides have been done aswell:

I've started rebuilding the car, no photos, but the interior has been cleaned and refitted, windscreen has gone back in and most of the black plastic bits are back on, annoyingly the reflectors in the original headlamps have become detached and I am struggling to find a decent replacement pair. Another member sold me a pair but they got damaged in transit so are now useless aswell:mad: One was a brand new light aswell:mad: Worst of all Parcelforce don't cover headlights so I doubt I'll get any money back, despite it not being the glass that is damaged.

If one reflector become detached, you can try to dissassemble the headlamp unit, using heat gun apply heat around the glass where it meets up with housing. Be gentle use low temp setting as the plastic can melt and distort. Pull them apart when seal/glue will be flexible. Yoe can wipe the reflector while insideUse simmilar sort of glue when putting them back together.

I thought you needed to put them in an oven to get them to come apart but if a heat gun will do the job then I will give it a go, can't make things any worse. Not sure if I will be able to reattach the reflector though as the plastic clips have broken I think.

I think I must have half a dozen headlights that have gone the same way, I haven't thrown them away as I'll have a go at repairing them some time. Very frustrating though as everything else about them is fine.

Paintwork is looking superb Freddy, how lucky are you to have those facilities! :yum:

I'll have to have a go at fixing the headlights then, don't think I'll be allowed to use the oven so will have to try the heat gun method, that Cinq guide looks useful though(y)

Yes I am very lucky to have use of the booth, although it takes some planning as I have to fit around proper paying jobs, I can't moan though as it would have cost me alot more if I was getting anyone else to do it for me!

I don't know if you are up for trying it but if you can't reseal well using a heat gun you should try using some Red Anchor Resin (available from all good building suppliers :D) that stuff sticks anything to anything and it's a solid, waterproof seal not like tiger seal or mastic. Many bits on my car are held together with it
