Hi,
1970 Fiat 500 with 650cc engine fitted.
I plan to replace the rear cross member panel that has the engine mount bolted on to it. )Picture attached)
It seems an easy job as it's held by 4 bolts (2 on each side)
But the engine mount has a big spring on it and I'm worried about how to deal with that.
I know I'll have to support the engine from below first.
Please would somebody send me a step by step procedure for this job? Or some advice?
Thanks
Pete

Long time since I had one apart but I suspect as you jack engine up on a soft pad so as not to damage the sump , that the spring mount will become unloaded and safe to remove, with a degree of commonsense of course;)
