:yeahthat: i got ContiSportContact 175/50/13's and they are ace.

Yoko's are very good in a 13 too, they plunged loads of money into designing tyres specifically for 13" wheels (for mini's).

IMO thats your 2 choices - i wouldn't get anything else in a 13.

disagree. bridgestone 175/50's if you can find them. i used to have them all round but now have contis on the front. prefer my old tyres.

I have to disagree with that, tyres are what keep you stuck to the ground, it is NOT a place to budgeting, should have best tyres possible no matter what IMO

Of course, but some people are financially better off than others, i certainly cannot afford 4 yoko tyres.

I agree and disagree with you. It isnt a place to budget but circumstances sometimes prevail. I do not have a job, no money coming in. I cant afford 150 quid at this moment to get yokos.

The cheaper scale of tyres would still go under vigourous hours of testing or else they wouldnt be for sale on the market. Essentailly a chepaer brand of tyre does the same job as what a premium tyre will do. A cheaper tyre will stick you to the ground, maybe not as well, if that is the case maybe your style of driving should be questioned

10 quid a tyre gets you part worn tyres more than likely rather than a new one

You will struggle to find a good make with that price budget i would have thought

Why 175/50? What other sizes could he use? 175/50 might be best if you have the money but with only £30 per tyre he might have to use a less performance biased size if he's not going to have Nangkang's!

Never realised 13" tyres were so expencive. I get a lot more rubber for my money on a 15" rim but thats probably not a lot of use to you. Cheapest on mytyres were:
