General Tyres for 14” 5.5j Tempra wheels?

Hiya folks, got myself a set of Tempra alloys so I can fit bigger brakes but still look stock. Really struggling to find tyres - closest I can find are Nankang NS20 175/50r14 but the reviews are awful and it’s a quick car so don’t fancy those! Any suggestions? Thanks, Dan

Can you squeeze 185/50R14 in?

If you can, you can get Yoko A539

I have some lancia 14" wheels on my cinq. I have Kumho Ecsta HS51 165/55 R14 and I think they are great.

I’ve read that you can go up to 195 on 5.5j but that seems a bit wide to me? Continental do a sport contact in that size.

Seeing as I still have [most of] my Barchetta , I tried some 15s on the Sei .

Not a hope , without some huge spacers and or much lower profile tyres .

The tyres touched the front of the rear wheel arch , didn't bother trying on the front after that .

14’s on 185/50 is pretty much exact same rolling diameter to within 1%, should be fine...
