Putting serious thoughts into 1242ing my sporting. How much is this gonna cost, including fitting cause i'm that that brave :) Gonna get a new sports clutch too, as mine is dying. Can i keep the same gearbox? Anything else i have to change? I presume the ECU stays? Have little/no info at the moment, so i'm looking to see if its worth while.

Guess at a day's labour to fit (at whatever rates, you'd have to enquire), you need to lengthen the exhaust downpipe or fit a spacer between manifold and pipe (ideally 15mm thick). Swap the 1108's crank sensor and oil pressure switch, alternator, starter, manifolds etc. over and use the same gearbox. The Cinq clutch is the same one fitted to the Punto 60 and 75, so unless you're planning 90 bhp or more a new standard clutch should be fine.
I'm using an 1108 superchipped ecu, and it runs sweet.
You should be able to get an engine for £200 if you shop around.

Good luck!

Pete.
