So the only real way of getting a 1242 high boost will be custom made pistons to lower the compression?

Yes, low boost 1242 with normal internals and high boost with custom pistons and intercooler+oil cooler+ second injector and so on!

Just that i know of a high boost 1108 for sale... so may just make do with that and maybe 1242 HB sometime in the future......

Theres a place called Arrow Precision Engineering that could probably forge you some pistons, no idea on costs, but they look like they know their stuff.

No it's not. It's the best method though.
The cheapest is the head spacer, the next cheapest is to mill the stock pistons by 2.5mm.

Head spacers work, i had mine on my first engine, the rings failed before the spacer.
