Wondering if anybody can help. Went and plugged sat nav into power outlet and it's not charging. Tried in wifes car works fine. Need it to be working by Friday night as going France Sat morning. Checked the correct fuse I think. My fusebox seems upside down compared to that shown in handbook but fuse looked ok. Only had car two weeks today and starting to regret it. Like performance of car but a few niggling issues.

many thanks in advance for any ideas

Hi Hellcat tried phone charger and extension neither worked. Damn frustrating.

It was definitely the right fuse that I checked. I've replaced it anyway, still no joy. So was thinking maybe it's disconnected at the back. Question is how do I get to it?? Also got me thinking whether I've bought a duff one. I'm a bit suspicious of the car: the plastic trim on the inside of footwell is missing as is the footwell air vent and the plastic cap that covers the chassis number. Makes me think some work has been done it.

Relay t12

Hi all. Starting a new post as not many people reading/replying to other. Anyways after doing quite a bit of research I managed to find out that relay T12 maybe causing my power outlet not to work. However as the fusebox has no cover and the handbook doesn't tell you I was wondering if anybody knew which relay was T12. I am getting very frustrated at the mo and feel like putting a hammer to it:bang: .I desperately need it working. Any advice greatly received.

Re: Relay t12

Rothy, there's no point starting new threads as it clogs the forum up with the same old stuff - I expect this'll be merged. If you want to adjust the thread title to change it's audience, PM a mod!

Anyway, rear power outlet, let me go look . . .

EDIT: The rear socket, and front cigarette socket, are both powered via the switched Ignition feed from relay T12, protected by fuse F44, both of which are in the fusebox behind the glovebox. The next logical step to take is to see if the cigarette lighter / power socket in the dash works - if it doesn't, it's a supply issue, if it does, it's a socket / earth issue.

Thanks for reply but not got rear socket, just one at front. Do you know which relay is T12?

Re: Relay t12

I'll go look later, but like T says, if it's under warranty let the dealer sort it :p.

Even without the rear socket, it's all powered off the same circuit.

I can't take into garage. Need it doing by Friday night at latest. They can't get it in. Going France Saturday morning!

By the time get home garages tend to be closed. Oh well seems just have to wait. Typical fiat by looks of it :Fix It Again Tomorrow! With it being a relatively new car not much info if any on google etc

I had this with my car, first time I tried to use a SatNav it didn't work. Took it to a garage and it took them 5 minutes to fix it.

I'm amazed at how many people have a car under warrenty yet when something goes wrong the first thing they do is go to the internet

Yes but if you can go to the dealer armed with some info I find it always helps. god knows most of them need it!!

Hardly. Do you really think 30 people who've owned the car for a year will know more than an entire Dealers technical team, including all of the manuals and literature they have, plus the ability to phone other dealers and Fiat for advice?

But seriously going in and telling them it's not the fuse will help them, cause they certainly wouldn't know how to check that themselfs.

We know more about our Croma than the dealership. Ours is only the 2nd they've seen in several years. Do you think this forum would be as sucessful as it is, if the dealerships were so much better than the information we have here?
