Technical 100HP Rear Damper Bolts

Hi all, intending to replace the rear dampers on my 100HP, and would like to replace the securing bolts at the same time. Does anyone happen to have the specs for the bolts please (length, size, tensile strength, etc)? Would rather buy beforehand so I have everything lined up ready to go before I take the wheels off!

On both of my Pandas, the bolts were fine. You may not need new ones. But they are quite special so best got from Fiat or Shop4parts.


They are all self-cleaning fine threads. The tops can be reluctant to move freely, so work them in and out until they unscrew. The long bottom bolts take ages to wind out but they are well protected from corrosion. I start them with the breaker bar and ratchet handle then use an 18V drill to whizz them out. I whizz them back in with the drill, just set the torque to 15 so it wont damage the drill (or me) when the bolt bottoms out.


When fitting the shocks, do the tops first as it's (much) easier to avoid cross-threading them. Then put a jack under the axle to align everything for fitting the bottom bolts.

Cross-threaded with self cleaning bolts is bad news as they can easily damage the chassis threads. I always use some good quality anti seize paste on the threads. That way they'll come out again when you need them to.
