Hi all. Just joined. I have an 07 100hp (my second) which I love! I’m curious to hear if any members have tried one of these Chip Power gadgets available on eBay and if they’re worth the money? (Either in under the bonnet or via the obd plug) Thanks in advance. Ian.

On a normally aspirated petrol engine, they're probably give you 2-3hp extra at best, if anything at all.

A "proper" remap only gives a claimed 9hp increase, so in reality probably around 5hp.....not really noticeable.

If you want noticeably more power, then only real option is either an engine swap, or turbo/supercharger retro fit......none of which come cheap.

You get what you pay for, so I agree poo.
The basic one in the past for petrol engines just had a resister in the temperature circuit telling the ECU it was still cold so it threw more fuel into the engine. Hardly a good tune up!!!;)

Sport mode simply makes the pedal more aggressive and the steering feel heavier. No useful added value but it cost Fiat nothing to make.
