Technical 100HP Brake Fluid

My 2008 100HP is nearly due for its first annual service whilst in my possession. I've looked through what service history I have, but I can't find any record of the brake fluid ever being changed !

I looked in the 100HP handbook supplement and it says the car needs "0.55kg" of DOT 4 fluid. Is 0.55kg equal to 550ml (as it would be with water), or have I got this totally wrong?

If I have got it totally wrong, does anyone know how much brake fluid the 100HP's system actually takes in total, in litres?

Fresh brakefluid is always the first thing I change on a used car. Not certain if 1l =1Kg, but I've used a little less than 1 liter.
New fluid gives you a much better feel or bite.

I'll probably end up putting myself through the windscreen when I change 6 year old fluid for brand new stuff then!

Was just under 1 litre enough to replace all the brake fluid in the system and refill it to the maximum mark then?

Also, is EuroCarParts/CarParts4Less normal DOT 4 brake fluid acceptable? I assume it is with the 100HP not really being a high performance car.

Yep. Was enough. Manual states DOT4 so that should be Ok.

Cheers for your help, the 100HP handbook is about as useful as a chocolate teapot measuring brake fluid capacity in kilograms.

I shall purchase 1 litre of DOT 4 from CarParts4Less and use that, it's less than 5 quid too !
