Hi all,
I have a random issue when starting my Punto 2006 JTDM.
Sometimes it will start no probs, sometimes not.
When it does start after 3 or 4 attempts, i get a cloud of unburnt diesel.
I also get the 'check glow plugs' warning and also the flashing glow plug dash icon whether it starts or not.
Ive had all 4 plugs out and changed them for new gen Bosch ones and also changed the glow plug relay again for a gen one.
After it still happened i had all the glow plugs out again and earthed them to check that they where all working as they should and they all lit up cherry red as expected so i know there shouldn't be a wiring issue.
Ive been doing a bit of digging ont old tinterweb and there are a few mentions of random relays that have nothing to do with the preheat system but for some reason when you turn the key to start the car can drop all power to the plugs but there are no mentions of which relays these are.
So i guess my question is: has anyone had this snag before?
