All they could suggest was to centre the tracking by centering the steering wheel and adjusting the tracking on both track rods evenly.

Either the tracking is right or it isn't

Centering the steering wheel is a cosmetic exercise (since most folks prefer the steering wheel straight when driving straight )

A full 4 wheel alignment check should tell the full story
