i all
as it states above how hard is this job. and what lenght of time. someone told me it takes two and a half hours. i know the 2.0l is a pig to do. but i thought the 1.6 could be done with no fuss.already orderd the belt and tensioner.
 
The 1.6 16v engine is ok to do if you have the needed camshaft locking plates.

You need these to keep the cams in place, so you can have the cam pulleys loose from the cams - you possibly can use a universal cam locking tool and mark up the bottom pulley before removing the belt - Never done it that way 'cos have the tools at work.

You also need a special tool to put tension on the belt - a theme with all Fiat stuff now.
