Hello guys, im new in italian pasta and im trying to keep up with regular tuning up on my GP. recently bought an GP 1.4 TJET with LPG on it.the engine bay is kinda messed up with the LPG kit and i can't find the fuel filter.i can't find any manual for TJET that shows where's the fuel filter either. found some are located on passenger side but there's nothing there.

First of all, define a "problem" with fuel that leads to filter. What's wrong with the pump and/or filter?
Not enough fuel (pressure/flow), lean mixture on petrol? Problems with starting? Failed inspection?
If not, it's not a pump/filter, leave it alone.

If you have LPG, pay attention to inspections (if you have obligatory check each year in your country), exhaust gas analysis (results on petrol and LPG, how much difference there is, then act accordingly).

Folks, don't help him. Let him do the homework.
Find forum threads or maybe a Guide (or do general search, Google) about fuel pump and filter in the regular petrol engines (non-turbo).
Tip: ALL cars must have a filter somewhere. Don't listen to retards that claim Punto "has no filter" (you'll find such statements probably).

First of all i dont like the attitude buddy and looks like all polish-ass you got same attitude thats why nobody wants to talk to you.
Secondly do your own homework my guy, its called MAINTENANCE. When you buy a used car doesn't matter what the service book says you inspecting the car whats changed and what's not so you can keep the car running rather broken at the side of the road. If you don't know where the fuel filter is just dont reply to the thread and mind your own business.

Good day.

Doing research ("homework") is a very first step to maintenance! You'll will learn that hard way (your problem, your choice).
Adult must be self-reliant, not asking people basic stuff (forum is NOT a "live Google"). Fiat will correct your "attitude" (I don't have to do it).
Come back here within 24-48 hours and answer, where the filter is (there are 2-3 options max. in this model, filter can be external or .......), show us.

Fuel is not a typical issue here. Grande Punto model has many other problems. More important ones. Go figure. Do the homework properly.
Learn a bit of history of the 16V units (1,2 and 1,4), regular non-turbo, then T-Jet (in Grande, Bravo 2, new Tipo), Uni or MultiAir (turbo or not).

Bonus tip: LPG is a troublemaker in all engines. This is your priority (not petrol/gasoline). Use exhaust gas analysis to "tune" it correctly.

@GrandePuntoPL you may be highly experienced with good technical knowledge on Fiats/other etc. but your posts always seem to have a bad attitude.

The Fiat Forum is for ALL with no, little or like many here extensive experience of car maintenance. Some here (no names mentioned) have been in the motor industry for 40+, even 50+ years.

The OP asked a question. Your wasted more of your time criticising him when you could have just said:

"Welcome to the FF @pkmds. The fuel filter is possibly located in one of the following positions, ......., depending on you exact model and year"

YOU listen. Forum is not a "live Google" (or A.I. chat) where people just dump simple questions and the answer magically appears.
Simple keyword issues must be resolved using search engines. At least try typing it into "Search" bar. They don't bother.

Grande section of the forum has 1200+ pages. This is absolutely mental. Single model can not have so many different/unique problems. Impossible. This (littering the forum with repetitive/redundant issues) is a clear indicator of bad management (quantity over quality of the content).
If your main goal is just to be nice to everyone, guess what's the result (look at the current state of the UK - but this is not a political forum).
You are rewarding bad behavior (protecting newbies, so they can trash the forum more, without any consequences whatsoever).

OP wants to "maintain" the car. Step number one is a research (that Fiat has a service manual called eLearn, ePER database and so on). Plus, fluids and filters are the most common/mundane service items. Therefore, someone has probably asked this (location) question before me (and here's a problem: "Me, Me, Me attitude", world revolves around him and his filter, we must give him a personalized answer and the next guy too if someone will ask same thing month later).

If it's all about being nice, you cannot lecture me, no "tone policing" allowed. Come on, be nice.

If you put "fuel filter location" into the search bar in the Grande Punto forum you will get results for the 1.2, the 1.9 and the MJET - only a single result for the 1.4 and if you aren't familiar with the Punto you won't know if it's the TJET or not.

The amount of effort you put into telling people to do their own research (research what exactly? other posts? which means someone needs to post it) you could just have easily answered their question.

And if you don't want to answer them, why post anything at all?

@pkmds - The best answer I could find is here:

Hi 🙂

That's odd, where did you read that

Only Diesel has a filter there..? 🤔
Hello, a manual for grande punto 1.4 starjet was showing fuel filter in this location. Found couple days ago that is inside the fuel pump assembly and there's no fuel filter also to buy or at least i can't find one

Ben thanks for your support, unfortunately maintenance manual does not specify which kind of engine has and where it has it. Its generic manual for many features about maintenance. The fuel filter is in fuel pump assembly which fiat says change the entire assembly with new one at 100.000 which is stupid to do and pay 150 200€. A car garage told me tske it out clean it with air or find universal one and fit it in Because there is not fuel filter as replacement part

Hello mate, thanks for the support. I found what i looked for from other GP owner.

You can also use ePER on this site. If you supply your chassis number to ePER then the correct parts and drawings for your particular model will be shown.

When looking at the drawings then they can give a clue as to where any filter may be. Some vehicles have no external filter but an integral filter in the fuel tank pump unit. All depends on Fiat car model etc. I've not looked on ePER at the Grande Punto info myself. I'm just pointing out that ePER can help.
