Wonder whether anyone with a Cinq or Sei who has fitted a 1.2 16v engine can give me an insight to what they are like to drive and difference in performance from say a 1.2 8v engine.

going to be obvious here mate but with 20bhp more and more ft lb of torque its clearly going to be quicker. more power higher up with the 16v engine and has to be mpi.
I guess I want to know what a Cinq with a 1.2 16v feels like to drive, obvious more power higher up revs especially but also more weight and does it loose the low down torque of an 8v.
I have owned six Cinqs and swapped the engines in three all to 1.2 8v two with mpi. My current Cinq is still a 1.1 but I completely rebuilt the engine all new parts apart from block and head - dyno'd showing 78 bhp, feels as far as I can go without forced induction (turbo).
Still have a few issues namely my homemade remap of ecu so just weighing up whether to junk all that work and go for 1.2 16v as a new starting point or better to stick with what I know and go with an 1.2 8v.
