Technical 1.2 16v starting problems

Hi everyone

This is my first time venturing out of the Panda Classic section but you guys will know best on this one, no doubt.

I've had a 1.2 16v from a 1999 Punto Sporting in my Classic Panda since April and generally it's been running fine, but just over the past week or so it hasn't wanted to start. It turns over no worries but will only start to catch after having the starter motor going for a fair few seconds then it dies almost immediately after coming off the starter motor. If you pump the throttle hard it will eventually start, then run rough for about 10 seconds, after that it runs absolutely fine and will do all day long!

Don't know if this is a problem anyone else has encountered but any advise or suggestions more than welcome.

Faulty engine temp sensor?

Followed by fuel filter, fuel pump................

Without knowing exactly what's there, difficult to tell.

Do check for spark and fuel past the injectors wehen it doesn't start. If neither, faulty TDC sensor.
