Hi
Has anyone else tried to get a MP3 connection in thier Panda 1.1 Active Eco, fitted with the Blaupunkt radio CD?
It should be simple, buy the correct lead, the radio has the standard Blaupunkt AUX socket on the back, Plug it in select AUX and off you go!
Only problem is the radio won't select AUX?
If anyone knows a 'trick' to do this I'd be interested to hear it.
Cheers , Gareth

Hi Gareth

By what I've heard if you press the SRC button twice it should go to the aux cable. However some radios may not support it (don't know exactly which ones). If that fails then getting a new radio would be the only option (which I did on the basis I hated the stock radio....)

Hi.
The SRC button just alternates between Radio & CD.
I've contacted Blaupunkt, they say ask Fiat. The bloke I bought the cable off says that Factory fitted units don't normally support AUX input.
So it looks like a new radio. TBH its not even in the Panda it's in our Caravan now. I've put a Sony with blutooth etc in the Panda.
I'm watching a Blaupunkt on E-bay now with 'no wiring' Its only a a tenner now so I might just get that & chuck in the caravan & car-boot the Panda one.
Cheers anyway
Gareth :D

For my new Active Eco I bought a Sendai MP3-900 (can see them at Halfords, but I can't post the link as I'm new!)

Obviously not as good as a real mp3 usb stereo like I used to have, but it means I don't have to mess around fitting stuff to my lovely shiny new car. If I put it in the little shelf above the stereo, I get a good signal. Obviously there are loads of other sorts, but I chose that one as it ran on batteries instead of cluttering up my power socket.
