Technical '06 Panda crank sensor issue.....

Checked both wires from the antenna to the BCM for short circuit and no issues all good as well

Clear the codes
Crank the engine
Read the codes

Has the low voltage come back
Has the no communication come back

The immobilizer, key is working properly, it's saying there isn't enough power to communicate

As an example, if the TV remote batteries are flat, the TV will not turn on

Here we don't have communication, only when we draw a few hundred amps by the starter

We don't yet know if the positive it the body computer is dropping below 8.5V or the negative is raising above 0V

Seeing as the BCM is awkward to get to, checking for high resistance in the fuse box first was easier, and is a fairly common source of problems,

There is a big thick red wire in the middle of the BCM is it useful to try a voltage drop test on it because it's the main power supply for the BCM

Charging the laptop RN will perform what you asked for when it's full and there's someone to fill in

Try to pull up the correct diagrams

Unfortunately Fiat split them so part is in the lights, dash, starting and so on

I haven't seen the main power and grounds yet but still looking

If you are confident go for it

Just be careful, if you short two pins on the BCM can be costly

Now I can't send you a picture of it but there's a thick red main cable in the middle but no ground wires at all as i have removed the BCM 3-4 times and didn't find any wire to the vehicle's chassis

And can't as in I can't right now and this big red one had as i guess the aftermarket sound system powered from it as there is about an inch of insulation removed from it right before the plug where i have it stitched right now

Yes is the main feed

It straight from the battery through fuse 1

Worth checking the legs on fuse 1 also

Ok so checked again now with ancel i got only the phonic learn and serial line with incorrect code the other 2 did not show nor the car started even after clearing faults

that's my bcm the main power is the one above the 30 amp fuses in this picture from the internet

Ok so the 70 amps fuse is normal and tight in its seat as for this stitch in the pic it was a small gap with 2 strings cut of copper maybe someone fixed it but used here for testing or it was a rat I don't know but it's just a sort of ripped 2mm×2mm gap

Btw one thing I forgot to mention is that the the lower left beam pin melted on the bcm but I'm pretty sure it's not the issue because i had it a long time ago

And it is one of the middle pins exactly i think it was the first one in the middle on the upper side of the plug on the left of the main of the BCM

Just mentioning it in case it was related to the fault
No problem, everywhere we look there's small problems, just not the one causing your main problem, it just confuses matters especially as it's intermittent and having bits spliced in here and there

No doubt a bit of love and it will be a good car again
