Hi All. 1.9 2004. Temp,fuel and speedo stopped working, basic dash, no rev counter. All was fine until I did the following. Removed heater blower motor as not working, cleaned the copper post that the brushes contact and all contacts, worked fine, put back. Removed radio as the yellow and red live wires were connected to each other rather than to same colour. Realised next morning that the dials weren't working.
Heater proved to be a temporary fix so have removed again to get new brushes, tried putting radio wires back the way they were, i.e. incorrect, but made no difference so now back the way they should be. Have checked every fuse and removed clocks, all seems ok. The plugs on the back were secure but that was all I checked. Is there maybe another fuse in the engine bay box? Any help welcome as clocks are still accessible. Andy
