I've loads of old Panda rims and tyres floating about and plan on trying to remove the old tyres so I can add the rims to the scrap pile and weigh them in.

Any ideas on how to go about removing the tyres from the rims? As I like move haven't got a tyre remover.

If you're scrapping the rims anyway just use a grinder, my brother did it this way but it stiiiinks!

So angle grind through the tyre

Could do, sounds horrible and yucky though, will rubber not kill the angle grinder

Yes, on both counts there. But if you are scrapping the rims anyway, why not cut them?

More thinking of the issue of clearing up the mess after and the potential ruining of an angle grinder. Other than that have no issues with ruining a rim

Although one rim I need to dispose of I do want to keep the tyre from. How do I go about that one

Ring around a few tyre fitters and see if they'll do it properly, otherwise I'm sure you can get tyre removal tools somewhere...
