Hello

Thought I’d post my positive findings after my first use in anger of a Stop&Go tyre repair kit

I’ve got to say that I was skeptic about it, but the wife’s car picked a puncture yesterday where the object went in and back out with a subsequent quick deflation, but in less than 5 minutes we were back up and running.

A check 12hrs later with cooler air and some soapy spray - pressure maintained and no leaks

So if you have a car with no spare, this kit could be a godsend!

I've never heard of the brand .... is it stab the hole with a big needle?
Big cost? .... enough for just one tyre in the kit ? or several?
(Looks american .... 😝 )

and finally lets have the real confidence factor: :)

Are you going to leave it as-is now ? or have it puncture repaired professionally?

Yes, I’ve had cause to use the Fiat one with car and it worked fine, just get it properly repaired as soon as possible. A lot of quick tyre companies will not repair the tyre if it’s had the foam spray used. However, my independent will, provided it’s not in the sidewall.

Yes, there’s a reaming tool then a hollow needle to force a mushroom seal into the tyre and yes tis American🇺🇸. I didn’t ream out much. The hollow needle went in quite easy.

There’s 20 x mushroom seals - I paid £30 for it.

Plus it’s not foam which some repair shops won’t work with once in the tyre, so in theory you could still get a permanent puncture repair done.
A neighbour put me into them having used them on his motorbike.

The plug is staying put - I have every confidence in it 👍🏻- it’s what the AA use but by a different name….anyone with low confidence in such a product will possibly be best served waiting roadside for a few hours for a breakdown man with a universal space-saver. Me, I’ll see you in the pub when you get there - I’ll need you to give me a lift home, 2 hrs is longtime drinking beer 🍻

Just tell me one last thing .... the mushroom head goes in headfirst ? (so it sits on the inside to cap it off)

I'm gonna get one of these (y)

Oh it’s that type…I had a set of these that came with the Iveco 4x4, they were out of date for use and never had cause. The kit included a ‘T’ shaped tool like a coarse rotary file, a fluid that smelt like plumbers chemical bond and the plugs
