Basically, when I use the footbreak, none of the rear lights seem to go on. It's ok for the first few mins after starting the car but they will no longer light up after a while.

Now I remember reading somewhere on here about this problem (I think!) but I have been unable to locate the thread. Anyone able to direct me to the other thread or advise me whats happening?

Had the same problem last week, it was diagnosed as the brake light switch and it had burnt out, £14 for a new switch and an hours labour...job done

Brake light switch is easy to replace if you can be bothered doing yourself. I'm sure there is a thread on how to do it somewhere on here.

Mine packed up last year but I was at work when I noticed. So I just had a poke around and found the switch, took it apart and put it back together and it's been fine ever since.
Might be worth a try.
